Three Days in A Row Without Trying Alcohol
It is the key! Last at least three days in a row a week without trying alcohol. Of course, when it comes to liquor consumption, zero is the best amount, but hematologists suggest this alternative for those who can’t resist a drink.
“It’s not that we tell persons they can’t drink anything; [it is about] maintaining three days without drinking each week,” Aleksander Krage, Deputy Secretary General of the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL), explained to El País.
Krag also stressed the importance of consuming no more than five units of alcohol at one time and no more than ten units a week. It is essential to clarify that a team does not correspond to a drink: a full glass of wine equals three units; a 333-milliliter can of beer is 1.5, and a shot of a high-proof liquor is one unit.
